Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten

With the rarity of affordable government-subsidized daycare spaces, Saint Monica is very proud to offer bilingual pre-kindergarten to eligible students in the community. This play-based program strives to develop the many dimensions of a growing child: physical, emotional, social and cognitive. Children to various age-appropriate exercises, they are stimulated to develop fine and gross motor skills.

During play, children also learn to socialize and interact appropriately with others through conflict resolution practices, with self-expression being encouraged as a way to develop language skills. Early exposure to both French and English plays an important role.

To better mirror the experience in school later on, regular physical activity is encouraged very early to support an active and healthy lifestyle, and the science curriculum helps develop critical thinking skills and broadens curiosity. Above all, the Saint Monica Pre-K program is a unique experience where young children learn, grow and mature in a safe and caring environment.

Is Pre-Kindergarten right for my child?

Saint Monica’s Pre-Kindergarten program is an ideal early introduction to school for any child. Classes are the same duration as other students in the school, and pre-kindergarteners can also take advantage of the B.A.S.E. Daycare program, which offers flexible start and end times that accommodate the busiest parents.

How do I register?

We are open for registration for children who will be 4 years old by September 30 of the current year. Children must be able to obtain an English eligibility certificate to attend. Please call Joanne Hall at 514-369-0070 for more information.
