Extra-Curricular Programs - The Greater Montreal Athletic Association

The Greater Montreal Athletic Association, GMAA, is a school sports organization devoted to the promotion of athletics in the English schools of the greater Montreal region. Gerald McShane participates in various sports events organized by the GMAA for elementary schools.

GMAA offers a wide range of sports that if our students show interest, we will try to find ways to get them involved in those activities.

Through sports, Gerald McShane wishes to provide:

• an environment where athletes feel safe, comfortable, focused and engaged.
• an environment that promotes self-esteem and confidence.
• an environment where you can share expectations with your athletes
• an environment where mistakes become a natural part of learning and where discovery is encouraged.
• an environment that encourages practices that are fun and engaging.
• Finally and most importantly, an environment that values respect, good sportsmanship and fair play.
